By virtue of the periodic cycle of "adsorption-desorption", VPSA Oxygen Generator can extract oxygen from the air. The core lies in utilizing the adsorption difference of molecular sieves under different pressures—capturing nitrogen at low pressure and releasing impurities to regenerate molecular sieves under vacuum conditions. The Underlying Working Principle

The low-pressure adsorption (0.1-0.3MPa) ensures that the molecular sieve can adsorb nitrogen efficiently without requiring high-energy compression of air.


During vacuum desorption, the negative pressure environment reduces the partial pressure of nitrogen, breaking the adsorption equilibrium, and nitrogen is desorbed from the molecular sieve. The dual-tower design ensures that one tower is in adsorption while the other is in desorption, achieving continuous oxygen production. Compared with cryogenic distillation, which requires cooling air to -196°C for liquefaction separation, VPSA operates at ambient temperature (5-45°C), simplifying the process, reducing equipment complexity, and lowering the risk of freezing or corrosion.
