The chemical symbol of zinc is Zn, with an atomic number of 30. It is located in Period 4, Group IIB of the periodic table of chemical elements and is a light gray transition metal.

Zinc is a silvery-white metal with a slight pale blue tint, having a density of 7.14 g/cm³ and a melting point of 419.5°C. At room temperature, it is relatively brittle; it becomes soft at 100–150°C and turns brittle again when the temperature exceeds 200°C.    Zinc can react with NH₄Cl to release H⁺ ions. Zinc alloys used as battery casings not only serve as containers for battery electrolytes but also participate in battery reactions to form the battery’s anode.

Application Range: Widely used in electrical, mechanical manufacturing, construction industry, and chemical industry.
