This product is insoluble in water and can be added directly to the stock solution or mixed with an emulsifier. It is typically added during the ball milling or flotation stage, with the specific addition location determined based on site conditions. The typical dosage is 2-100 g/ton of ore. This collector is non-foaming and requires a higher amount of frother than other collectors such as xanthate.

It has been successfully used in the flotation of molybdenite-containing copper ores. It is a highly selective collector for copper-molybdenum sulfide minerals, improving molybdenite recovery and subsequent copper-molybdenum separation. It can also be used for the flotation of low-alkalinity primary copper and copper sulfides, and is the primary collector for copper recovery from copper slag in smelters. This product is one of the most selective copper collectors, with excellent pyrite capture. Weak. It can separate copper and sulfur under low alkalinity conditions and is an excellent collector for flotation of high-sulfur copper ores. This product is non-foaming and must be used in conjunction with a frother or emulsifier.
