Key Working Principles
A heat-recovery unit re-uses the air from the building to warm or
cool new fresh air. A typical unit features two fans, one to reuse
the building air (Return Fan), and the other to bring in fresh air
(Supply Fan). What makes a heat recovery unit unique is the
heat-exchange core. The core transfers heat from the outgoing
stream to the incoming stream in the same way that the radiator in
your car transfers heat from the engine's coolant to the outside
air. It's composed of a series of narrow alternating passages
through which incoming and outgoing air streams flow. As the
streams of air move through, heat is transferred from the warm side
of each passage to the cold, while the airstreams never mix.

specialized wet-film fillers, the unit facilitates
cross-counterflow heat and moisture exchange between spray water
and indoor exhaust air in an open-system total heat recovery
process. During operation, the indoor exhaust air and outdoor fresh
air remain entirely separated, completely eliminating air
cross-contamination to ensure clean and healthy air quality. After
open-system recovery, the air enters a sealed system, maintaining
zero contact between exhaust and fresh air—100% cross-contamination
