Traveling Bridge Sludge Scraper
Product Overview
The Traveling Bridge Sludge Scraper is mainly used for rectangular
or horizontal-flow sedimentation tanks.
The traveling bridge moves back and forth, driving the scraper
blades to push settled sludge along the bottom to the sludge hopper
for discharge.
It features stable operation, lightweight design, and easy
maintenance, making it suitable for primary and secondary
clarifiers in municipal and industrial wastewater plants.
Working Principle
The scraper operates on dual traveling rails driven by a motor and
gearbox, moving the bridge back and forth along the tank.
During forward motion, the scraper pushes sludge to the sludge
trough; on the return stroke, the scraper lifts to reduce
resistance.
Collected sludge is discharged through the outlet pipe, and
optional skimming devices remove floating scum, enabling continuous
automatic operation.
