Rotary Bar Screen
Product Overview
The Rotary Rake Screen (also known as Rotary Bar Screen or Mechanical Bar Screen) is a fully automatic solid–liquid separation device widely used in wastewater treatment plants and industrial pretreatment systems. It continuously removes suspended solids, floating debris, and large particles from the influent, preventing blockage and damage to downstream pumps and equipment. The machine operates continuously or intermittently, ensuring stable and reliable screening performance.
Working Principle
The rotary rake screen consists of a set of rake teeth mounted on a
circulating chain system. When the motor drives the chain, the rake
teeth move upward along the guide rail, capturing and lifting
solids from the channel bottom to the discharge point. Once the
debris reaches the top, the rake automatically reverses and unloads
the waste into a collection hopper or conveyor. The cleaned rake
then returns to the channel for the next cycle. This process is
continuous and fully automated, ensuring efficient removal of
debris with minimal maintenance.
Main Components
Frame and Support: Stainless steel structure providing high rigidity and corrosion resistance.
Screen Bars: Precision-aligned stainless steel bars forming the screening grid.
Rake Teeth / Chain Assembly: Stainless steel or reinforced nylon rake teeth mounted on the chain for debris capture.
Drive System: Motor with gear reducer to ensure stable and reliable operation.
Cleaning Mechanism: Includes rake turning device and self-cleaning brushes to prevent clogging.
Control Panel: PLC or electrical cabinet for automatic control and safety protection.
