60-60 kN/m Polyester Geogrid is a medium-strength, biaxial geosynthetic material used
for soil reinforcement and stabilization. It shares the same excellent material properties as
its higher-strength counterparts but is designed for applications where the required reinforcement
strength is moderate, making it a cost-effective solution for many common civil engineering problems.
Reinforce Polyester Geogrid "60-60 kN/m" - The Strength
Specification
This indicates the minimum ultimate tensile strength per unit
width.
First 60 (kN/m): Tensile strength in the machine direction (MD).
Second 60 (kN/m): Tensile strength in the cross-machine direction (CMD).
kN/m: Kilonewtons per meter. A one-meter wide strip can withstand a force of 60 kilonewtons before breaking.
60 kN is approximately equal to 6.1 metric tons of force.
