FH (Full Hard) 301 stainless steel introduction

FH (Full Hard) 301 stainless steel is achieved by cold working (such as cold rolling) to a fully hardened state, with extremely high strength and hardness, but low ductility. This state is suitable for applications requiring high strength and wear resistance.

Hardness state of 301 stainless steel strip

• Annealed (soft) : low hardness, good ductility.
• 1/4 h: partially hardened, medium strength and malleability.
• 1/2H: semi-hardened, high strength and medium ductility.
• 3/4H: mostly hardened, high strength and low ductility.
• FH (Full Hard) : Fully hardened, extremely strong and low ductility.

Corrosion resistance:

Processing properties:

• Formability: Due to its extremely high hardness and low ductility, FH 301 stainless steel has poor formability and is suitable for processing of simple shapes.
• Welding: It can be welded, but after welding, it is necessary to perform solid solution treatment to restore corrosion resistance.

Heat treatment:

• Solution treatment: heating to 1010-1120 ° C, then rapid cooling to restore corrosion resistance and processing properties.
