1. Increase the water solubility of poorly soluble drugs
For example: Dihydroartemisinin and artemether are insoluble in water. After
being encapsulated with hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin, their
solubility can meet the requirements of powder injection.

For example: Using hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin to make injections for
intramuscular administration can significantly increase the
absorption of drugs by organisms and reduce damage to
gastrointestinal or muscle tissues.
3. Increase drug stability
For example: After estradiol is encapsulated with hydroxypropyl
beta-cyclodextrin and placed at room temperature, its degradation
half-life can be extended from 1.2 years to 4 years.
Product Description
Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD, HPBCD) is a type of
hydroxyalkylated hydrophilic derivative formed by the condensation
of β-CD and propylene oxide. It is a white or off-white amorphous
or crystalline powder; odorless; highly hygroscopic. This product
is highly soluble in water or propylene glycol, easily soluble in
methanol or ethanol, and almost insoluble in chloroform or
a.cetone.

Hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin is one of the earliest beta-cyclodextrin derivatives used as a pharmaceutical excipient.
It is easily soluble in water and overcomes the disadvantage of low solubility of beta-cyclodextrin. The solubility can reach more than 100g/100ml water at room temperature. The low-substituted HPBCD produced by our company has a beta residue of less than 0.1%, which greatly improves the safety performance of the product.
