UNEF thread ring gauges are manufactured in two designs, fixed and adjustable.

Fixed thread ring gauges are fixed in their exact size, they are very simple and easy to use and there is no need to adjust

these ring gauges after used. Adjustable thread ring gauges offered in AGD (American gage design), is able to be adjusted as

they wore down, saving considerable life cycle cost to the owner.

Unified thread gauge comes in GO and NOGO types, the GO ring gauge is machined to a minus tolerance making it so the

member is at the maximum material limit and used for verification of an externally threaded component. The NOGO thread ring

gauge is machined to a plus tolerance making it so the member is at the minimum material limit and used for verification of an

externally threaded component.

Precautions:

1. It is not allowed to touch the working surface of the plug ring gauge with your hands, so as not to cause rust.

2. During use, the plug ring gauge should be placed in an appropriate place, such as on the table of the tool cabinet

or on the wooden backing plate of the immovable part of the machine, and should not be placed on the tool holder of the machine

or the guide rail of the machine, so as not to cause damage.

3. Inspect regularly to see if there is any damage, rust or deformation. If you find that the plug ring gauge begins to rust,

you should put it in gasoline and soak it for a period of time, then take it out and wipe it carefully, and apply anti-rust oil.

4. Do not save the working surfaces of the two plug ring gauges together, otherwise the two working surfaces will be glued

to each other, and the gauge will be unnecessarily damaged when separated by external force.

5. After used the threaded plug gauge, it should be wiped clean and stored under dry condition.
