The GE IS200TPROH1BBB is a protection board in the Mark VI series, critical for turbine safety systems. It supplies essential signals to triple redundant VPRO boards, forming an independent emergency overspeed and synchronization protection system. This setup operates separately from the primary turbine control, ensuring reliable safety responses.


Physically, the long rectangular board features two large black terminal blocks on its left edge, red relays with yellow components, red MOVs, three vertical variable resistors, small yellow capacitors, and black diodes. It connects to VPRO boards and TREx terminal boards, facilitating signal flow for trip solenoid control and emergency trip functions.


Features:
Safety-Critical Signaling: Delivers speed, temperature, and voltage signals to VPRO boards, enabling independent emergency overspeed and synchronization protection.


Redundancy Integration: Works with triple redundant VPRO boards, ensuring fault tolerance in safety systems separate from primary controls.


Trip Control: Supports up to three trip solenoids via TREx and TRPx boards, with either capable of triggering turbine trips.


Relay Management: VPRO controls 12 TREG relays 9 in voting groups to manage solenoids; a secondary TREG can be driven via J4 for enhanced redundancy.


Robust Hardware: Includes terminal blocks, relays, MOVs, and resistors, designed for durable performance in industrial turbine environments.
