ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) optical fiber cable is a specialized cable designed for aerial installations on utility power lines. It is entirely non-metallic, allowing it to be installed in high-voltage environments without the risk of conductivity. The cable's construction provides robust self-support between structures, making it an efficient and cost-effective alternative to OPGW and OPAC cables.
Our ADSS cable features a compact, stranded core design. The optical fibers are housed within loose tubes made of high-modulus plastic and filled with a water-resistant compound to prevent moisture ingress. A non-metallic Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member provides core stability. The cable's exceptional tensile strength is achieved by surrounding the core with aramid yarn, and it is finished with a durable PE or AT sheath.
Non-Conductive: Constructed without metallic components, ensuring safe installation on live-line power infrastructure.
Cost-Effective Installation: As a self-supporting cable, it simplifies installation, reducing the need for a separate messenger wire.

The choice of outer sheath is determined by the power line's voltage:
PE (Polyethylene) Sheath: Recommended for overhead power lines under 110kV.
AT (Anti-Tracking) Sheath: Designed for power lines equal to or over 110kV to prevent damage from electrical tracking.
The quantity of aramid yarn and the stranding process are specifically designed to meet the demands of various span lengths.
Our ADSS cables are manufactured to the highest industry standards, complying with both IEEE P 1222 and IEC 60794-1.
