ASTM A789 ASME SA 789 2507 UNS S32750 (EN 10216-5 1.4410) Stainless steel is a super duplex stainless steel containing 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications requiring extremely high strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical processes. Petrochemical and seawater equipment. It has excellent corrosion resistance to various media, due to its high chromium, molybdenum, nitrogen content, has excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in seawater and other chlorine-containing environments, and the critical corrosion temperature exceeds 50℃. The steel has excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Compared to 300 Series austenitic stainless steel or conventional duplex alloys, S32750 stainless steel offers enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This can be attributed to the increased amounts of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen found in these materials. Alloy 2507 is the most common "super" biphase grade.
