Heat shrinkable sleeve precautions heat shrinkable sleeve Note: a.
Do not aim the flame at a point on the heat shrinkable sleeve to
stay more than 2 seconds, to prevent the heat shrinkable sleeve
burned. b. The surface of the heat shrinkable sleeve should be
flat, there shall be no wrinkles, cracks, bubbles, warping, and
charring. c. The permissible temperature of the heat shrinkable
sleeve when heated shall not be more than 300 ℃. d. The surface of
the heat shrinkable sleeve shall be smooth, and shall not have
fold, crack, bubble, warping, or charring. e. The surface of the
heat shrinkable sleeve shall be flat. After the heating is
completed after construction, turn off the LPG switch and flame gun
switch in time. The joint part can be moved and lifted only when it
cools down to below 25℃.

Move the heat shrink sleeve to the centered position at the joint
and take out the isolation material. Heat evenly from the center
along the circumference, make it shrink completely and then extend
the heating to both ends respectively. Pay attention to the even
fire. After all the shrinkage is completed, reheat the uneven
surface to make it completely flat. After the overall heating is
completed, turn down the flame and reheat again to make the hot
melt adhesive fully overflow. During the heating process, use the
pressure roller to roll the joint several times, focusing on
rolling the fusion lap to eliminate air bubbles.

2. 3Layer Fiber
reinforced PE heat shrinkable tape (sleeve) is composed of
cross-linked polyethylene back, a middle layer of fiber and special
heat melt adhesive an. The 3 layer reinforced sleeve gives better
shrink ratio, and better strength. It is resistant to corrosion,
wear, impact, UV and aging, easier to be operated.
Application area:
It is mainly used for Hollow wall spiral pipe, corrugated pipe and
metal reinforced corrugated spiral pipe etc.
TEST PROCEDURE
1. Clean the steel pipe and heat it by fire till over 80 ºC
2. Paint the steel pipe with Primer (mixed with A&B)
3. Fire heat the heat shrink sleeve, be attention to start heating
from middle of the sleeve, but act from up and down, and gradually
move from middle to two sides of sleeve, in order to drive air out
of the sleeve, after finish heating, the good result is that there
is about 1-2mm hot adhesive melt at the edge of sleeve.
TEST RESULT
1. Test result after cooling about 40 minutes.
Peel strength to primer is over 100N per 2cm(till the end of the
spring balance). at 30.7ºC
Co-adhesive: Half-half.
2. Test result after cooling about 24hours.
Peel strength to primer is over 172N per 2cm at room temperature
about 30.7ºC
Co-adhesive: Half-half.

Peel strength to primer is over 9.2kg/90N per 1cm at room
temperature about 30.7ºC
