Its toughness, ductility, hardness and corrosion resistance are comparable with 304 stainless steel. 15-5PH has excellent transverse toughness and ductility; 15-5PH Steel Forging Parts ASTM XM-12 UNS S15500 Machined is highly malleable. Its processing properties are similar to those of other precipitation hardened stainless steels. Age hardening can be realized in one step through low temperature heat treatment.
