A basic fiber PLC splitter include the below parts : fiber ( bare fiber ), pigtail ( tight buffer or cable ) , PLC chip , fiber array , and ribbon fiber . Other than the chip , fiber array is another very important part in the product . The fiber array always combined by V-groove and its Glass Lid , Fiber Cover and Ribbon Fiber . Splitter with different channel capacity will use different V-groove with different dimension . For example , there are 2 channels , 8 channels , 16 channels and 32 channels V-groove . That’s why plc always with even channel but not odd channel .
