Overview


The XGI2 card Supports the access and processing of ten GE optical / electrical interface services and one 10GE optical interface service..

  • Provides four STM-16 optical interfaces.
  • Provides ten GE optical / electrical interfaces and one 10GE optical interface. Users can select to use the GE optical module or GE electrical module as needed.

  • Supports the Layer 2 switching function to enable the cross-connect and longhaul transmission of the GE and 10GE services on the ASON platform.

  • Supports the virtual cascade and GFP-F mode.

  • Supports the AVCAT and LCAS functions.

  • Supports pointer explanation and path overhead processing.

  • Supports fault management, counts and analyzes the alarms that occur in the card, and reports the analysis result.

  • Performs the Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching functions such as dynamic address learning, VLAN, broadcast packet suppression and convergence.
